Products

Whenever possible we try to avoid strict rules and dogma when selecting our range and instead focus on giving space to lines that make a positive contribution to the health of people and planet. After years of supplying our local customers from Stoke Newington, we’ve ended up with a carefully edited range of which we can be proud.

One of the main drivers for adding interesting new things to our ranges and shaping the direction of the shops is the feedback and information we are constantly getting from our fantastic customers. So, if you don’t see what you want or you’ve heard about something that you think we should stock (or stop stocking) then let us know. We also have an excellent personal ordering service for things that we don’t stock.

What we stock

  • products from small suppliers, the passionate pioneers who get over-looked by bigger shops;
  • products that are locally produced or that benefit the local economy,
  • like honey from two streets away and loads of organic produce from Kent;
  • ethically traded products
  • products with clear benefits for the environment, e.g. organic veg.
  • tasty stuff that helps people reduce their reliance on animal-based foods (although the shops are neither exclusively vegetarian or vegan);
  • Foods which help people who are on special diets – we’re always on the look out for the latest innovative gluten free and vegan things.
  • Cutting-edge products in both food supplements, e.g. green foods and raw foods

What we don’t

  • hydrogenated fats
  • artificial additives
  • genetically modified foods
  • products tested on animals.
